This is a pretty long area....anywho, this is all about the abolitonists and womans rights, etc etc
First Of All, ABOLITIONISTS helped to end slavery.
Most of them demanded the IMMEDIATE freeing of slaves (as we already know)
So some main ideas expressed by the abolitionists are...
Slaves should be immediatly freed
Slavery was Morally wrong
Slavery was cruel and humane
Everyone was created equal- Democracy
Some of those abolitionists include
HARRIET TUBMAN
We all should know her
She was a famous conducter on the underground railroad
William Lloyd Garrison
Newspaper writer
The "Liberator"
He wrote articles on freeing slaves
Frederick Douglas
He was a fugitive slave
He also wrote articles in News papers
He gave speeches about slavery also
Sufferage Movement
The suffereage Movement helped women gain equal rights
No, sufferage does not mean to suffer, It means the right to vote
Supporters of the sufferage movement expressed that all men AND WOMEN are created EQUAL
So they thought that Men and woman should have the basic rights...
The right to vote
Education (they could not go to college)
Equal opportunities in buisness
And the right to own property (those rights were limited)

Lectured on Womens rights

She was at the Womans Convention in Seneca Falls New York
She served as the president in the national woman sufferage assosiation
